New Car Deals for October 2011: Hybrids

Last Updated: Nov 2, 2011

Though this may yet change with gas prices taking a recent plunge, most noteworthy sales incentives on hybrids this month remain on large, expensive and not particularly fuel-frugal models, such as the BMW ActiveHybrid7 and Cadillac Escalade Hybrid.  One more rational model that does make the list is the 2012 Buick LaCrosse “eAssist.” This is the base model in the midsize car’s line up and leverages a small electric motor as a high-tech turbocharger for its four-cylinder engine. The LaCrosse starts at around $30,000 and gets up to 36 mpg on the highway, fairly impressive for a sedan its size.
