New Car Deals for August 2010: Compact Cars

Last Updated: Aug 8, 2010

Maybe it’s the summer doldrums, but some of the top incentive plans among compact cars seem overly complicated this month. A handful of models are being given particularly sweet deals, though most of the cars on our list have either been discontinued or have run in the current forms for several years. Be aware, however, that resale values on canceled product lines tend to drop precipitously, so proceed with caution unless you intend to keep a car for six or more years.
